Summertime Awakenings
By Lisa Noe

Summertime brings such wonderful things,
Extraordinary scents from the beginning of Spring.
Butterflies fluttering all around,
Fresh wildflowers growing from beneath the ground.

Celebrations of freedom are held in July,
They make you so happy you have to cry.
Rainbows following a rainy day,
Little children kneel and pray.

Hummingbirds dashing to and fro,
I wonder where they all go?
Sunshiney days make you feel alive,
Honey Bees swarming in their hive.
