Through the Fear

Through the fire
i fight through
Discouragement after me
I quicken my steps
Discouragement becomes depression
Fleeing in fear
All the negativity around me
Enveloping me in like a cocoon
Circling me, dragging me down
I try to fight, to go to the light
At first, I try to do it on my on own
But to no avail
Finally, as my head is below
I call out for help.
No one can hear
Then as if called by my guardian angel
My spirit is lifted.
I no longer fear
I feel the strength in me
I can face anything
I am strong.
