Halloween 2020

for a covid Halloween, written for the Writer's Cramp

Halloween 2020

I am not a space cadet
and though it might sound fishy
It isn't rocket science
to create a Halloween costume
that isn't covid icky.

I'll wear a mask, face shield and gloves
and to my scrubs add booties.
I'll be safe for trick-or-treat
as this old nurse hands out goodies.


Author's Notes: I am a nurse and we are going to a Halloween trunk or treat in full covid gear. I will be 69 on Halloween, so need to be extra cautious.
