Journey to Embrace

I looked upon the waters of shame
Tears were shed. Nothing but pain.
Those were the days I could do no right
All my efforts to help landed in fright

How much longer to run, nowhere to go?
I look beyond the waters, a ship to sail
Lord give me a sign, your love to show.
Cast in a prison of an endless pale

Then God delivers, a soul set free,
Choices and possibilities now I see
I looked for a home a family meal
Invited to a table, of bliss so surreal

In the person of many embraces to feel,
Warmth and forgiveness: grace appeals.
I reach to a place, never seen before,
I exit shames gate to enter heavens door.
