"And then we clink!" Bucky giggled as we clinked our teacups and then proceeded to sip our mint tea, sticking our pinkies out. I smiled as I sipped and then set my tea cup down, "So, Bucky you like playing Tea Party?" My little 6-year-old nodded vigorously, "Yea!" "So remember those meanies that said tea parties are only for girls?" I asked, "They're just jealous that the girls get to have so much fun at parties." Bucky laughed, "Can we do another tea party tomorrow?" He gasped, "Can I invite my friends?" I couldn't help but grin, "I've got a meeting with the Secretary-" "Which one?" Bucky asked curiously, sticking his pinky out again and taking a sip of his tea. "Ms. Ginny," I answered, and then continued, "We've got a meeting tomorrow so Mr. Jackson is going to come over and watch you again. Is that okay?" "Can I do a tea party with Mr. Jackson?" Bucky finished his tea, and I poured him some more. "If he wants to, then sure!" "Yay!" Bucky squealed happily, "You still staying here today, right?" "Right," I nodded, "How about we finish up the tea party and go check on the Jackalope family in the backyard?" "Awww!" Bucky whined, "Just a few more minutes? Pleeeeeeassee?" I sighed, "Alright, Buck," I took a sip of tea. I could tea party with my son all day. |
