I delight to do Your will, O my God, and Your law is within my heart. O, help me to be calm and still, So you can gently heal all the hurt. I long to see Your face, O, Your presence is all I need. To just feel comforted by Your embrace, And from all my worries and cares freed. Forever, I long to dwell in Your secret place, In gratitude to pour out my worship. For all Your mercy and all the grace, Lord, I’m thankful for this precious relationship. - - - - - - - - - - - Word count: 91 Line count: 12 Written for
With prompt and rules as follows: Form: Free Verse "JANUARY PROMPT" Psalms 40:8 I delight to do Your will, O my God, and Your law is within my heart. I don't know about you, but devotionals help me stay on track. I came across this one. It is by Charles Stanley "Discovering the Will of God part 4." I find Dr. Stanley's devotionals to be very helpful. You will find this one to help you write this prompt. Look within yourselves and ask, "Am I doing the will of God through my actions?" Include in your verse, I delight to do Your will, O my God, and Your law is within my heart. Highlight in grape, please! |
