Written for Honoring Our Veterans

God,

Please keep my soldier safe from harm. Protect him when terrors make him feel alarmed. Preserve his life and limb always. Take all the loneliness he feels away. Let him be brave and courageous and strong. Don't let him do anything wrong. Please bring him back home to me someday. Keep him mentally and emotionally sound, I pray. Don't let him be damaged by the things he may see. Let us never take for granted the soldiers who keep us free.
