For Shadows and Light Poetry Contest

My love for you grows stronger
We are much more than friends
You are my pal and confidant
I would have it no other way
You are unsure of yourself
You cannot seem to let go
Yet I hang on believing in you
I know it is worthwhile.

You light up the recesses of my mind
You hold my demons at bay
You are my guiding light
The storms rage on and on
You guide me gently in
You chide me with a smile.
I will always love you.
