The Story

“Do you think they’ll believe us?”

“No.”

“Then what are we going to do?”

“We can’t let them find out.”

“What?”

“We just can’t let them find out.”

“How are we supposed to do that?”

“Well, we’ll start with stupidity and desperation, and see what comes up next.”

“Funny.”

“I’m not kidding. If they find out, our you know what, is grass.”

“Fine. I can certainly come up with stupidity and desperation, matter of fact I’m there already!”

“Here they come now.”

“Where are the chickens!!!” screamed farmer Brown.

“They were all here half an hour ago,” his son Richard said.

“Did you see anybody around?” Mrs. Brown yelled.

“No," said younger son Joey, “we just saw the chickens then we went to milk the cows like you told us to.”

“Well, where could they have disappeared to?” Farmer Brown said, “they couldn’t have just vanished!”

Later Richard and Joey sat looking at the sky, “Do you think they eat chickens, or they are chickens who fly spaceships and save their friends?”

“Don’t know, just glad they don’t take humans!”
