Independence Day 2021

The truest level of independence only comes when we fully depend on the Right Person.

Independence Day is when began
our quest to free ourselves
from the bonds of the Crown and the royal man,
who kept us on his shelves.

Independence is a curious word,
that seems to stand alone
as though our Freedom, like a bird
makes air its lasting throne.

Independence is a misnomer,
until we see the Truth.
All Freedom in the mind, sober,
on God rests from our youth.

Independence means unhooking from
the one, who's most unwise,
depending on The Lord, Who comes
to claim us as His Prize.

Independence makes confession's boast,
depending on the Lord.
Our Freedom is our lasting toast
in fealty to His Word.
