Two people and a light

She holds his gaze
Queen of the Sea
He loves her so
No room for me

Man and his light
How can this be?
She's just a flame
For ships to see

Each day looks sweet
Boats sailing by
Us in our house
My man and I

To no avail
I try and try
Mind on the lamp
Each day goes by

Worst are the nights
Just him and her
Up on the roof
What happens there?

One night I went
Treading with fear
Into their room
Seeing them near

He saw not me
I knew with fright
Singing to him
Was his dear light

Never again
I'll climb that hight
I'll stay below
All through the night
