Can give you a fright

The Moon on Halloween Night

On Halloween night
the moon can give you a fright,
when like the great pumpkin,
it rises above
on an abandoned mansion.

On Halloween night
it cast its orange light
through broken window pains
and gives the impression
of ghouls staring at you.

On Halloween night
you may want to take flight,
you may want to run
until the rising sun
breaks the moon's spell.
