The 12 Pains of Christmas

The 12 Pains of Christmas by Bob Rivers

Christmas

Not all of these pains apply to me, but a good bit of them do! This was the first funny holiday song I heard as an adult and the first time I heard it was a long, long time ago when we didn't have the ability to go out and find it any time we might want. I had only heard the last little bit of it, so a friend did their best to sing it for me (sort of *Laugh*). I did finally catch it on the radio again and heard the whole thing and had a good laugh. I identify with the guy with the lights the most.
I am the youngest of my siblings and I always went to help dad put up the lights. I was the kid that had to untangle the huge knot (like in
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation). I didn't care. It was time with dad. I looked forward to that night every year, when he would declare it was time to put up the lights. He was just as excited as a kid and always had something new to do with the lights. My nose, feet and fingers would be freezing and mom would keep asking if we were done yet because it was late and I had to get to bed, but I didn't care. (I might have learned a few cuss words muttered under dad's breath, too. *Laugh*)
Again, just in case of little ears (this one contains stuff about hangovers and a bit of cussing) I made this one 13+.
