Faith, a house sparrow, sings at dawn |
| Now that the little light has come Peeking through leaves to her little nest home Up in a maple tree, Faith sings the song That every house sparrow sings at dawn. Other house sparrows in bushes nearby Join the dawn choir and the little birds cry Tweet pause tweet pause chirp pause tweet “I have faith that again we’ll meet.” They sing that their fledglings will learn to fly And that corn and seeds will wait nearby They sing that no claw or sting will stop The day, which will quench thirst like a dewdrop. |
