A prayer to my Lord. An Ode Form |
My flesh is weaker than it should be My faith not as passionate as times before But my heart yearns to join with yours My love, grace, and mercy—My Savior. Jesus Christ, my redeemer. Forgiveness I ask, forgiveness you give. To cleanse my soul of the blackness of man, my weakness of foul words -- of negativity. The pain I have caused to others through no fault of their own The sorrow I have brought upon myself and the sins that have weighed me down. You take them all, with a simple request At your feet, I lay them– I lay my most ugly deeds, thoughts, and sins at the feet of the most beautiful cleansing, loving vibration--God Himself. And He smiles, the white-light fire of all That is good, sparks from His eyes. Where He is, evil can not be. The light swallows up the darkness. My sins exist no more. One day I will fall into your arms and await the words I do not deserve, but can only come from your goodness, Well done my good and faithful servant (26 Lines) Form: Ode ▼ |
