About loss

I've searched for parts of you
In the eyes of every stranger
The embrace of every new friend
The bed of every new lover
And I have yet to find anything
That even compares to you
And what will I do
When a part of you
Glimmers in a stranger's eye
Softly touches my heart
Lingers in intimacy
Will I settle for pieces
Of who you used to be
And who you were to me
