Losing hope, despairing, yet finding the strength to persevere. |
In the depths where shadows cling, And hope's faint whisper starts to fade, Despair, a heavy, crushing thing, Wraps the heart in a cold, dark shade. Tears fall like rain on barren ground, Each drops a story of lost dreams, In silence, pain's deep echoes sound, A world unravelling at the seams. But as the night grows darker still, A voice within begins to rise, Though fragile, it exerts its will, A spark that flickers and never dies. Romans 5:3-4 - "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." Through every trial, every tear, A purpose hidden in the strife, Perseverance quells the fear, Breathes character, and renews life. Though hope seems lost, and light unclear, A steadfast heart will find its way, For in each step, though trembling, near, The dawn breaks forth—a new day. |
