Green leaf
Bursting from it’s bud
Saying hello to the spring sunshine

Another seasonal adventure begins
One moment struggle
Peace and stillness the next
Warm sunshiny days
Cool stormy nights
Whispering showers
And sweet morning dew

Surviving it all
With elegance and grace
Until autumn arrives with
Coppers and reds
Calling an end
To growth and change

Anticipating the
Odyssey
Of another year
