A brief reflection on chrysanthemums, life, and the enduring spirit.
The Undying Soul Is Forever Full and Vibrant

My friend gave me a bag of chrysanthemums, fresh and tender.
She said they could be used to make omelets, stuffed in dumplings, or brewed in water...
I wonder, can they be used to brew wine?
I think, they probably can.
Golden yellow flowers, with a delicate herbal fragrance.
I focused and breathed deeply, appreciating them slowly, liking them a lot, cherishing them like a treasure.
After thinking for a long while, I grabbed a handful and took them to the kitchen, asking my mom to make us omelets.
One omelet after another, placed on the plate, golden and beautiful, so pretty I almost couldn't bear to eat them.
Actually, I'm not stupid, I'm just a little lazy.
Besides, I had a small thought in mind -- to taste my mom's cooking once more.
One after another, the chrysanthemums, so delicate and water-like.
I spread them out in a cool, well-ventilated place.
Slowly, their bodies would shrink and wither.
But the undying soul remains always full and vibrant.
Chrysanthemums, when brewed with goji berries, clear the liver and improve eyesight, really good.
The world is full of confusion, with truth hard to distinguish. Sometimes, we need a pair of wise eyes.
Only then can we see things clearly, plainly, and truly.
I can't bear to use them in dumplings, how could I waste them?
Every day, I steal a glance at them, feeling a sense of beauty, calm, and joy.
Each little flower is a world of its own.
I seem to hear different murmurs, thoughts on life, the value of living, the meaning of existence, the truth of death...
This small gesture, like the warm sun in winter, is just right and unforgettable.
