January
New beginnings, new us, new earth
A new year, new sun, new birth
Time is frozen until March weeps for bloom
April's garden, dew covered, fresh from winter's womb
January's promises, so easily left to wither
Procrastination, a snake, in May's harvest it slithers
Opportunity, a seed, frozen in the winter dirt
Unable to grow without the warmth of love overt
June and July, summer love, skip merrily hand in hand
Agape love, forgetting the entire beginning plan
August and September, our harvest is here!
Oh, wait. It's already October. What did we plant this year?
Thankfulness and gratefulness, November taunts
Jolly December points and laughs, the next year begins to haunt
January.
New beginnings, new us, new earth
A new year, new sun, new birth.
