Gnome digs for potatoes When the foreman is nearby But he’d rather clear the rain Off a sunflower’s eye Fairy’s job is making sure The flowers are upright But she trades with gnome When they’re all alone- All three have a goal in sight. There is an issue for the three; None is where he or she wants to be. They save and hope and write poetry. “I’m a floral artist, see” “I’m not a stereotype of something pretty” “I just want to move my body” In heated discussions they air their quirks And that’s how the garden workday works.
