An aspired fashion designer doubts her designs

They were meant to be forgotten. Those fashion dreams would never come true. I envisioned creating the most eccentric clothing ever. My friends always told me that I had a “unique” sense of style. I’d prefer the term “original”.

I always admired those designers who weren’t afraid to think outside the box.

However, I tried to create my own designs but failed.

I looked at my designs and shook my head. These were way too flashy.

My designs (jackets, skirts, hairbows, and even socks) were matched in rainbow colors adorned with sparkles. Who would want to wear this? Not teenage girls. More like for younger girls.

The next day, I realized that my best friend, without my permission, signed me up for a fashion competition!

"Come on, bestie! You're so gonna win that contest!" she chirped. "You're amazing!"

"I'm so gonna get you for this," I snarled before I walked away.

On the day of the contest, I was sweating bullets.

The judges looked closely at my work. Then, they moved on to the next.

The next thing I knew, I won.

Applause echoed the room.

"See?!" my friend said after the contest. "I told you that you were amazing!"
