She took a bit of suet and some sugar water Grooming her green scales. She landed on my shoulder and breathed A word in my ear, “asteroid,” And I sipped some more on my own Red Bull Dreaming of spaceships, voyages, Blue lakes and hilarious survival Giggle while you cry survival Against the odds. I kissed her head and called her My emotional support dinosaur. |
