A Young Girl's Prophesy Part 1

Another notebook find from about 40 years ago. More will come later.

I've been crushed.
I've been abused.
I've been denied.

I've had stories.
I've had promises.
I've had lies.

I've tried patience.
I've tried silence.
I've tried cool pride.

I'll be myself.
I'll be invincible.
I'll be one-of-a-kind.

I found this poem in a notebook. It had no date but I assume that it also was written in 1989. Today is 10-25-25. i was amazed at at the meaning it still has for me. (From 36 years old to 76 years old.) The next poem is Part 2.
