hiding my grief but wanting it to be seen


Can you hear me screaming?
Loud behind my eyes
You see me smile, Soft, shining
The mask I wear
The one you see

Empty, pain, sharp and crippling
Dark void limitless
No one sees, no one notices
cracks in my facade
Groaning, growing

Hide it, don’t look
Unyielding, relentless
Hear me, a whisper so loud
Deafening sorrow
Shattered
