Adrift on an endless sea,
alone in the universe.
Bereft in an unknown country.

Careful actions to right the boat
lead to a more settled escape
from a life of isolation.

No anchor to prevent any drifting
toward a place as yet unknown.
Tropical depression ahead as I am

Floating endlessly toward a far-off horizon.
No anchor stop my flow
down to the light.
