INNOCENSE

There breathes the soul
Of sweet innocence
A tiny babe who hasn't learned
The the world is so immense.

She doesn't know the soul
Will be tempted beyond reason;
She is in the sweet time
Of the innocence season.

God gives this child a time of grace,
To fill a parent's heart with love so true;
And faith that she will grow to be a soul
Whose sweet innocence will see her through.
