Tears fall down my cheeks
like red rain

A past I would like to forget
holds me prisoner

The anger I feel inside
is a raging river

My weary soul is drowning
as dreams fall in ruins

Wrongs done against me rise
like a recurring demon

I wish to be free
and live once again

May the chains that bind me
be forever broken

So that my soul
can be healed
