The Lemon Tree

Sliced or squeezed in water, tea,
Many uses from this tree.
Hot or cold, it’s lemony.

Fresh or canned, concentrated.
Frozen, powdered, sometimes grated.
Tarty taste is loved or hated.

Lemon trees have much to render.
Meaty fruit, so moist and tender,
Satisfying any gender.

Flavors candy, cough drops, cake.
Used in many foods we bake...
Cookies for a coffee break.

Pudding, sherbet, icing, too...
Oh, what lemon trees can do!
I like lemons—how ‘bout you?
