contentment in the here & now

Dreams not lost,
simply disguised and wrought
in everyday fabric
that clothes the hours,
leaving me silent and waiting
as rain gathers in droplets and pools
outside the window,
decking the darkness
in slow silver.
Reckless tumble of relentless time pauses
while dreams subside
and I am content
here & now.
