To touch a rose

Soft velvet petals
delight the senses.

Heady fragrance
pleases the nose.

True beauty.

Safe in its haven
of harsh thorns,
the rose offers
the promise of
grace amid chaos.

To touch a rose
is to be
lost in sensation.
