This is an impersonal/subjective poem

PAINTING WITH LEGS

Legs are brushes
against the slim sturdy stalks
that paint images with sound
and pictures with rhythm.
Hooves dip into
living pigments wet with dew
while manes and tails
daub the air
with little wispy strokes.
