An exciting horse that died before her time. |
| PRICILLA, SO EXCITING! Pricilla, so exciting--! A flashy, prancing mare! I admired you explicitly in the haughty autumn air. My heart longed to ride you as your eye bid me to dare and the calling of your hoof matched your self-assuming flair. As you stomped upon the ground I watched you shy, pivot and stare. As you rolled your eyes all white, I was intrigued, caught in your snare. The earth, beneath your hooves crooned idylls to me there as I stood, entranced, beside you longing to draw nearer. To touch your quivering flesh was to know a poem rare and the way your life was spent indeed, was so unfair. Pricilla, so exciting--! If I had known how you would fare, I would have held you to my bosom where we could never more dispair. |
