Heaven now has a new star.
The reason is a drunk driving a car.
Out on the road the man did not think,
How much he was risking with every drink.

He recklessly took an innocent life in his hands.
The life he took was one of a man's.
This man was my uncle; he was special to me.
Now he is in heaven, his killer soon to be free.

The hurt this causes our family and friends,
leaves an emptiness that never ends.
The type of death my uncle suffered while riding in his car;
has left us empty and alone, but heaven now has a new star.
