As I retired for the night
and crawled into bed,
My thoughts were of you
sleeping so far away.

Did you feel a soft gentle
breeze upon your cheek?
That was me so many miles away.

Before I closed my eyes
I whispered,
“Good Night and I Love You”
with a Kiss I blew it your way.


I know the distance between us
is wide. But, the love
in my heart draws me to you.

This morning
did your heart leap?
That was me so many miles away.

Before I began my day
I whispered,
“Good Morning and I Love You”
with a hug I sent it to your heart.


As the days and nights go by,
with every breath that I take,
I’ll be thinking of you
while you are absent from my sight.

When you feel a sudden
surge of love in your heart,
That is me so many miles away.

Before I close my eyes at night
and start a new day, even in between.
I will be whispering,
“I Love You” sending it with my heart.
