Hurray, hurray
I am going to school today
I’m 5 years old
And it’s my first time
My mommy says I’ll be just fine
My daddy says that I will make some new friends
Learn some new games, and play “Let’s pretend”
My parents took me out shopping for school
I got some new shoes that look really cool
I wake up real early
Too excited to sleep
I get dressed really fast
And down the stairs I creep
I check that my snack for school
Is packed really neat
My mommy made me a special treat
It’s time to go now
It’s off to school
It’s time to learn the golden rule.
