True Wealth

A tribute to the late Jay Van Andel, who left a great legacy. His torch burns bright.

A spring of wealth to share
No reason to hide it away
It will do nothing good there

Let the whole world see
I have much to give
I'm not in bondage, I'm free

Whatever I have I will give
So that when I have passed on
People will know I still live

Help others to build dreams
And sacrifice my all
It isn't as dark as it seems

A light in the tunnel finds me
A lamplighter runs my way
He knows I'm lost, he can see

He lights my dimmed torch anew,
A brilliant flame to see
He guided me, helped me, it grew

Now I find people lost and cold,
Remembering his legacy
I share his flame, that I still hold





My prayers are with the Van Andel family. Jay Van Andel has imparted his wisdom to me through the passed down torch of all the people's lives he has touched. He truly was a man of honor and faith.
