Rough Rapids

We're back... Where else but Frostbite Falls, where our amazing duo, Rocky and Bullwinkle, again face adversity, this time not from Boris and Natasha, who are vacationing in Siberia, but rather in the form of LeMonde Perigrine. As if previous battles with Boris weren't Badenov, LeMonde, the wet-erase purple-hued French naval captain (well, this IS a cartoon), has contrived a plan whereby the inhabitants of Frostbite Falls would watch "Brady Bunch" reruns until they became insane.

Never have Rocky and Bullwinkle faced such adversity.

Fortunately, though, they have found a way to reroute the cable TV signals onto LeMonde's boat, thereby exposing LeMonde to his own madness.

And so we chase the tale.

"Bullwinkle, I have a plan."

"Gee, Rocky, do ya think it'll work?"

"It's gotta work, Bullwinkle. The people are counting on us."

"Well, I see through this spyglass that LeMonde is on his ship. When do we start beaming signals at him?"

"We have to wait for high tide, Bullwinkle. That's when the beams work best."

Unfortunately, what the duo doesn't know is at that very moment, LeMonde is hatching still another plot. His plan: to bombard Rocky and Bullwinkle with "I Dream of Genie" reruns, mesmerizing them into boarding his boat. Then he'd eradicate them.

And it seems the plan is working...

"Rocky, why do I keep seeing a bottle? And why's that lady blinking at me?"

"Search me, Bullwinkle."

And so, witless, the two board LeMonde's boat.

Miraculously, however, the moon crosses the equinox at 11:52, cutting off the signal aimed at Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Released, R & B watch a dazed LeMonde walk his own plank, sending himself into the turbulent depths.

Watching the swirling waters turn purple, Rocky offers a final gem.

"Behold, Bullwinkle: the dye a 'Monde in the rough!"
