Detailing the loss of God in Britain, which is, though I am strictly an Atheist, a pity. |
| The First Commandment Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Somewhat dogmatic: this primary order: Christ above all other divinity. It is but a joke across each border; Across all lands now, this God is no more; That is: largely is there lacking belief And the splendour of God no more be bore; With few provided such wholesome relief. Churches: distant memories of the Lord. Religion: vacant from social standing. Holidays: the futures day; God ignored. People: piety’s dead, money’s handling. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. No God we have; as far as I can see. |
