I am Scottish, have lived all over the UK and currently my home is in Lancaster. My first job was selling doughnuts on a nudist beach in the South of France. Since then I have worked as an academic, a sales rep, a coach and a management consultant. I’ve been published twice: I was a finalist in the Moth Publishing Northern Crime competition 2016, and The Independent/Scholastic Publishing children’s story of the year competition 2000. I was a runner-up in a national short story competition 2006, and highly commended in the Poetry on the Lake competition 2018. I have two children and a long-held desire to live in France and write novels.
