There is nothing like an old fashioned Catholic school education with nuns to make sure you have a grasp of reading, grammar, spelling and punctuation. It makes editors very happy. I have been writing for a little more than fifty years and in a wide variety of forms. Hard news, which taught me to be be concise and precise. Lots of poetry, short stories, plays and a couple of unpublished novels. Writing is as important to my survival as breathing; I cannot imagine not writing.
