"Can you write a poem for....."
In 1964 I became a requested author from friends for a poem or a short story to "commemorate" a relationship or a break-up. (Why one would want to remember a break-up in writing is understandable only by a teen-ager). Through the years, I wrote to preserve the memory of an event that moved me deeply, to understand those perplexing life moments and to exercise my fingers - true! Now I write with the intent of leaving a legacy and honoring my muse, my mother. I draw inspiration from my brother, a prolific writer and wordsmith. I am hopeful that from age and experiences I draw wisdom. The words will tell.
