Writer's Cramp - if only they had podcasts
"You're a strange one Will, always staring into that mirror and talking to yourself. Best you stop when we dock in Plymouth or they might take you for a madman and lock you away."

"Aye Francis. When do we reach Plymouth?"

"We entered the Channel just after dawn, with a good wind we should make port sometime on the morrow."

"Vessel off the port bow."

"Ah, would seem to be a fisherman. Boatswain, break out the rowing boat. I wish to speak to their captain."

"Might I come too Francis?"

-*-

"Permission to come aboard."

"Granted."

"We have been away some three years and have no word of home. Is England at peace or at war?"

"'Tis a time of peace Sir."

"And who is now on the throne?"

"Why Good Queen Bess Sir."

"And is she still unwed?"

"Aye Sir."

"Might make my way to Court and doff my own cap there. The woman is in need of a good porking. What say you Will?"

Once back in the safety of my cabin I unlocked my sea chest. I placed the latest memory card in its slot and fitted a new one. Grabbing a charging pack I realised it was the last one. I needed to get back to my little house and fire up the generator. I pray I have enough fuel left to open the portal. I have no wish to stay in this time period, as interesting as the voyage has been.
