"The Writer's Cramp" Write a story or poem about anything you like, but use only dialogue between two people.'

“Do you want to know a secret?”

“No.”

“Why not?”

“Then it wouldn’t be a secret.”

“It’s about Jenny Thomas, your new girlfriend.”

“So, what’s the big secret?”

“I can’t tell you.”

“Why not?”

“Because you said you didn’t want to know.”

“Okay. How about a hint?”

“That’ll cost you a hundred dollars.”

“You’re charging for hints? How much for a small one?”

“Twenty-five smackerooies.”

“That much for sharing just a few words? Okay. I’ll fork it over on payday. Tell me the hint.”

“Hah. Jenny was right. Now, I can confirm you are a skinflint.”

“Can you keep a secret?”

“If it is worth money.”

“I’ll pay you that hundred dollars if you don’t tell her about our secret conversation.”

“Boy. You must really like Jenny Thomas.”
