Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Describe what these verses mean to you. Answer: These verses mean that if you put all of your trust in the Lord and don’t rely on your own understanding. Ask him for guidance for everything. Observations: Verse 9- The 10 commandments are based upon the principle of loving others as one’s self following Love God above all else. Verse 10- The law is founded upon love. Love cares about others and doesn't cause harm to others. Application: All the commandments are based on love. Love God. Love others as yourself. Prayer: Dear God, Help me to love others as I love myself and to love you above anything else. Nelson Henderson What are your thoughts about this quote? Life’s meaning is different for different people just like their sense of purpose. I do not place the value of my life upon how many trees I plant. This is not my life’s meaning. If taken figuratively, I can see this as a good principle to follow. Figuratively, I could see this meaning that you should give to not expect anything in return. Life is so much more than that though. Life’s meaning for me is found living in Jesus Christ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I want to thank Princess Megan Rose (2746) for covering for me. She is such a sweetheart. Today on my return trip from the starbase I saw a shining star and explored a planet there. Shaye (654) wrote a beautiful poem with
What do you think of stars? Sometimes it can be relaxing to look up at the stars at night. I have always had an infatuation with the sky, day or night. It is like God paints us a new picture there all the time. I have seen so much beauty in the sky. When I was in my youth, I enjoyed sitting on the front porch, listening to the crickets, and looking at all the stars above. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Did or do you have a writing mentor? Do or did you find it helpful? Would you advise others to get one? I do have a couple of mentors. Yes, mentoring is always helpful if you are willing to learn.
