Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Isaiah 53:5 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. What do you think about these two verses? Do you think this is pertaining to spiritual or physical healing or both? Answer: Primarily, I believe this is speaking of spiritual healing. I think it can pertain to physical healing in the sense that if a spiritual issue was causing a physical ailment. This is mostly talking about forgiveness of sins and the condition of the soul in my opinion. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Application: Trust in God even if the whole world turns against you. Prayer: Dear God, Thank you for always being someone I can rely on. You are my hope and stay. Keep me close to you. Love ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prompt: “We accept the love we think we deserve.” From The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky Your thoughts on the subject? In some ways I think it is true. It's hard to receive love if you don't think you deserve it. On the other hand, a Christian has to learn to accept love they don't deserve. God loves us in ways we don't deserve it. Sometimes we have to accept love we don't think we deserve from a significant other so a wedge is not driven into the relationship. Of course we sometimes have to give undeserved love also. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prompt: I was cruising the galaxy with Guardians Of The Galaxy and found this planet: Sharmelle's Writing Again (241) Read this item:

And the greatest thing we can do is to let people know that they are loved and capable of loving." – Fred Rogers Use this quote to inspire your blog entry. This is why I think we need Jesus. We were created by God to need love so we could receive it from him and give it to him and others. Jesus died to repair the broken relationship between us and God. If you get to know him, you will find God is love.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scripture writing - Job 2:11-13 Scripture: 11 Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him. 12 And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven. 13 So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great. Observations: Verse 11- Jobs friends made an appointment to come together with him. Verse 12- when they first saw him, they didn't recognize him. He must have looked very rough. Verse 13- they just sat with him quietly for 7 days and nights because he was very grief-stricken. Application: True friends stick with you even in tough times. Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, Thank you for giving me some good friends too. Help me be that type of friend in return. In Jesus’s name, Amen Jesus is my permanent anchor! |
