Question Mark as much as you like,
he swears he didn’t pinch the bike,
and I’m inclined to listen to him -
it’s just as likely that it was Jim.

You know that Jim’s addicted to speed,
blame it on that as well as his greed;
the witness has said he saw him ride,
I really do think he should be inside.

Now that the case is wrapped so clear,
you and I should go for a beer -
Mark is released and Jim’s in a cell.
justice is done and the world is well.
