Announcements pertaining to Writing.Com! |
| ✨ The Updates Are Live! ✨ We’ve been quietly working behind the scenes... and we’re excited to roll out another fresh set of improvements across Writing.Com. Here’s what’s new tonight: • Brand new item type icons around the site: cleaner, more modern, and easier to recognize at a glance. And you'll notice they are clearer to visualize in our side menu now, too! So. Much. Cleaner. 🙌 • A completely redesigned + Create Something page which is more user-friendly, more intuitive, and much easier (for both new and longtime members) to figure out what you want to create and what you need. • Updates to the side navigation: improved spacing, clearer category visibility, and bolded section titles to highlight some of the most important areas of the site. • The item creation pages have been simplified and given a cleaner user interface, as well. We haven't finished that yet, there is more to come on that! • In particular on the item creation page --> The Item Covers section received a complete make-over. Go look at it! SM made it so nice and fancy! • A refreshed Paid Membership page (accessed from anywhere within Create Something) which is now more welcoming and easier to understand if you come across an item you’d like to create but don’t yet have access to. • Plus a handful of bug fixes, including improvements to the sidebar pop menus, updates to the WdC editor, and SM just fixed the Dropcap bug! Our goal is always the same: to keep improving, modernizing, and moving Writing.Com forward while staying true to the heart of what we’ve always been. Writing.Com has never just been about tools or features. Yes, they are amazingly cool, of course, but it’s always about you... our writers, our readers, and our members who make this community what it is. ❤️ We are always working to make this the best place we can for YOU. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of this journey and for making it so fun to evolve and bring Writing.Com into 2026. We’re excited about what’s ahead. And we’re really glad you’re here.
