My Own Personal Shaman
Today something unusual happened. For the most part, I'm decently healthy. The prescription meds I take is for my high blood pressure. I'm into more holistic healing and medicine personally so I do a lot of research into alternatives I think might help. For example, I'm firm believer in Bromelain which is a natural anti-inflammatory made from pineapples. I've been taking anti-cortisol stuff and I'm currently using milk thistle to help my liver out. Lately, I've been focusing on draining my lymphatic system. *Smile* Heck, I'm my own personal shaman.

So I got home at 7 am and was in bed by 730 am. I slept until 1130 am when I got up. Andy (Boy #1) and I went to church for the 1230 pm mass and then we went to lunch at the sushi place. I got home at 3 pm and back in bed at 330 pm for a 2 hour nap before getting back up at 530 pm for bowling league.

Well, it was a warm day here in SoCal. The temps were in the 80's. I managed fine. But when I woke up at 530 pm to get ready for bowling league, the upstairs bedroom where I slept was HOT. And I was sweating profusely (which is something I've never really done). When I sat up to get ready to go, I was a bit lightheaded. Awkward. I got in the car to go to bowling, but the motion of the car was disorientating, so I went back home, called in sick and slept for another 2 hours before getting up for work. When I got home, hubby was curious so I told him I was lightheaded and the upstairs was hot. We put on the AC, I went back to the bedroom, drank some water, took an advil and rested. When I got up at 8 pm I was feeling much, much better. And cooler.

Hubby was glad I was feeling better, and so was I. We started troubleshooting the symptoms and I determined I was having a heat reaction. I was probably little dehydrated (which is rare because I do drink a lot of water, but I maybe had 16 oz that afternoon) and since heat rises, the bedroom probably got HOT which caused me to sweat profusely and left me lightheaded with the heat reaction. It probably didn't help that my sleep was broken with 3 to 2 hour naps throughout the day.

I hate missing out on bowling league for the 2nd Sunday in a row, but I there was no way I could go. Tomorrow, I'm getting plenty of sleep!
