For everything that you've withstood
could it be you've misunderstood
that you have crashed into the wood?
You are dying.
There is such a thing as done for good.
Please , stop trying.

My best friend is dying. She is under hospice care and still refuses pain meds, help, things to provide comfort. Her iron-will is exhausting.
